Every day is filled with the same 24 hours for all of us.
What we do with those hours defines our inner feelings of
purpose and success. B.J. likes to carve out time for her
writing among the duties she must perform and finds her most
creative time is in the morning. She has been working at
this profession of writing and speaking for quite a while
and thoroughly enjoys it. Success has come through
determination and hard work.

is a member of three writers groups. Two are face-to-face
and one is online. All three have eight members each (the
perfect number for workability). For more information on how

Thanks for stopping by!Dog-Lit
Love dogs?
Me too! Like chick-lit, dog-lit will
be fun beach reads for dog lovers: novels all about dogs and
the people who love them. That's my take on it anyway. It
was a best friend of mine who coined the phrase for me. We
want publishers to get excited about novels for dog
lovers, so if you like this idea drop me a line through the
contact page and let me know that YOU want dog-lit out
there! The first novel is about a 32-year-old divorced
young woman who's searching for love and the capricious dog
that helps her find it. Dog-Lit to a T. Working title:
Fortune Puppy. In the second novel an adorable Cocker
Spaniel plays an integral role. Totally Dog-Lit. I think
you'll love it.
The Loves of her Life
B.J.'s husband takes the top
spot, but crowding him at the front of the line are Rex, the
10-year-old Golden Lab who loves attention. He's her writing
companion by day and paper shredder by night. Following
right behind Rex are Red, a 15-year-old housecat who sleeps
24 1/2 hours a day, and Bear, the outdoor semi-feral cat who
loves his free-wheeling lifestyle. Rounding out the
household is a Beta fish named Fish Face who, despite B.J.'s
inability to cuddle or hold him, thrives in his glass
environment. This menagerie keeps her busy, and adds fodder
to her
new blog: Taylor's
Tips.
Beginnings
B.J. first began writing in grade
school, with English as her favorite subject and spelling
bees her specialty. A personal diary was her journal, hidden
under her mattress during her teenage years. Her penned
thoughts filled numerous notepads (which she still has in a
box in the garage) but a computer is her medium of choice
today. She admits that a lot of choices are scary at first,
like signing up for a writing class, joining a writers
group, or submitting a first novel to an agent for
consideration. She plunged into the deep blue sea, took a
chance with her writing, and has been blessed abundantly.
